Cask: American oak, Japanese oak

Whisky distilled on an antique coffey still is “tea-spooned” with an unknown Japanese single malt before being matured in a mix of US & Japanese oak. It is then given the classic Kaiyo treatment with a final rest at sea in mizunara barrels for up to 3 months.

Cask: Japanese oak

Premium malt whiskies are carefully selected, blended together using the “tea-spooning” method, then left to rest at sea for up to 3 months in Mizunara casks. Kaiyo believe this to impart a maritime quality to the whisky, as well as provide more rich & intense flavors
